About Me

I'm an elementary school librarian at a K-4 public school in Michigan. After teaching third, second, and fourth grade in the classroom, I got my Master's in Library Science, moved to the library, and I haven't looked back!

My schedule is a very crowded fixed schedule. I see each class once a week for 50 minutes, meaning every child has a chance every week to check out a book. My curriculum is very independent, meaning I am always changing things up, being creative, and integrating technology and teacher requests whenever I can!

When I'm not teaching, I work part-time as a children's librarian a public library in my area, so I get to purchase YA and J Audiobooks and DVDs as well as the picture books, early readers and middle grade novels I purchase for my elementary school collection. I also love to read (obviously!), exercise, play with my crazy cute puppy Samwise, and watch reality TV.
